Brenda W. Casserly Memorial Award Honors Outstanding Achievement
Canton, Ga. (March 4, 2014) – ERA Real Estate, a leading global real estate franchisor, named real estate agents Becky Babcock and Maria Sims of ERA Sunrise Realty in Canton, Ga. as two of three finalists for the 2013 Brenda W. Casserly Memorial award. ERA Real Estate’s highest honor for a sales associate, the Brenda Casserly Memorial Award is presented annually to the system’s top all-around agent.
Joined by additional finalist real estate agent Mimi Simmons with ERA Cornerstone Realty Group in Nevada City, Calif. Babcock and Sims will be honored and the winner will be announced by Charlie Young, president and CEO of ERA Real Estate, during the opening night ceremony of the ERA® 2014 International Business Conference, held March 24-27, 2014 at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, Calif.
“Becky and Maria demonstrate excellence in every aspect of real estate,” said Young. “This includes sales and year-over-year growth, usage of ERA tools and services, and customer satisfaction. We are proud to have such seasoned and accomplished professionals representing our ERA Real Estate brand.”
Sims started her career at the beginning of what she recalls as “one of the worst markets in history.” As a new agent, she learned to succeed in a declining housing market by implementing all the training offered by her company. Sims also attends ERA Real Estate’s Top Gun Academy, which she recommends to every agent.
“I take this course every year to help keep my listing presentation and techniques to top standards,” said Sims. “Each year during Top Gun, I make a new business plan and use it as a road map to help me stay focused and driven throughout the year.”
Sims operates her business by simple principles learned from her parents: It doesn’t matter if you’re the best. Go out with a smile and try your hardest!
Babcock led her team to an impressive 47% year over year increase in properties sold from the previous year. Babcock credits her growth to a customer centric business model that focuses on understanding and enriching the life transition and experience for her clients. For Becky, it is about a lot more than just a real estate transaction. Babcock’s Path & Post team is known for their cutting edge marketing, unique branding, and extensive communication with clients to build long term relationships.
“Becky and Maria are extremely knowledgeable and collaborative team players,” said ERA Sunrise Realty owner and broker David Moody. “We are fortunate and honored to have two strategic, market-savvy professionals within our ERA family as their continued outstanding performance inspires us all.”
